I NEVER KNEW
TIGERS IN THE STREET
L-space return with poignant double A-side single
I Never Knew and Tigers In The Street combine console futurism-inspired synths with Lily's distinctive and beautiful melodies to create poignant pop soundscapes.
The double A-side release bridges the gap between the band's ambitious critically-acclaimed electronic score, Music for Megastructures (April 2019), and their upcoming second album due for release in April 2020. The tracks were written in Normandy at Vibey Studios with legendary programmer and producer James Sanger (Keane, U2, Dido, Annie Lennox) in November 2018.
The style of these tracks marks a departure for the band; the sparse arrangements and reflective lyrical content were inspired partly by the idyllic surroundings of the Normandy countryside as well as the different approach to songwriting James Sanger enjoys. I Never Knew conveys the desire to overwrite memories of the past while Tigers in the Street tells the story of wanting simply to sleep until things get better.
I Never Knew/Tigers In The Street will be released on all major digital platforms on 04/10/2019. Please contact Gordon Johnstone at or 07714735500 for any queries.
